Baba Yaga (part one) by Kit Hall, Deluxe Tattoos, Chicago
My arms have always been a source of anxiety. I’m rarely without a cardigan, mostly for the sartorial fun but also because, well, my arms make me really nervous. They’re big; they’ve always been big. Despite participating in fat acceptance communities and reading blogs and zines about size positivity, it’s always been a little abstract, something I couldn’t begin to apply to my own life.  A couple years ago, I don’t think I could have even posted a picture of a tattoo in this space: it would have been too embarrassing. It’s still a little embarrassing, but whatever! I like it, and it’s getting a little easier to be okay with my body. Aren’t you glad I’m done waxing pathetic, Tumblr?
