We lost our 70’s post-punk hero Poly Styrene nearly 1 year ago to breast cancer. So Permanent Wave members got together and recorded this compilation album of X-Ray Spex cover songs in her honor. All proceeds from album sales will go to the Sweet Relief fund, which provides financial assistance to aging musicians so that they can access healthcare. If you live in New York, you can also attend our upcoming 70’s post-punk dance party themed album release show from 8-11 PM on April 27th at the Hive in Bushwick. There will be DJ’s and dancing, Poly Styrene tote bags and buttons for sale, and a live X-Ray Spex cover band! All ages, suggested donation 5-10 bucks, no one turned away.
